We are seeking a Supervisor, Clinical Services 

Location:462 Grider Street Buffalo, NY 
 
Department: Pain Management
 
Shift: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (no more 13 hour days, overnights, or working holidays!)

Job Duties

  1. Supervise all office staff and, in collaboration with the Practice Manager, provide education, training, tools, and support necessary to perform duties
  2. Prioritize daily assignments and tasks to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor and make changes as necessary
  3. In collaboration with Practice Manager, coordinate monthly department schedule. Monitor provider schedules for accuracy and report any inaccuracies to the Practice Manager
  4. Act as a liaison between the clinical and administrative support staff and communicate with administrative staff any changes to provider schedules, patient appointments, and issues that affect office operation
  5. Supervises clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of required documentation
  6. Utilize problem solving skills to work through staff and office issues and assess when situations need escalation to Practice Manager
  7. Schedule hospital or office-based procedures, surgeries, and follow-up testing
  8. Complete prior authorizations and verify insurance
  9. Provide patients and facilities with applicable instructions, forms and consents and ensure all pre-testing is completed
  10. Perform clinical responsibilities as required 
  11. Participate in the interview process of candidates in conjunction with the Practice Manager
  12. Conduct first level triage and investigation of patient complaints and route to Practice Manager
  13. Review patient and staff experience/engagement reports with the Practice Manager to help create improvements in patient experiences when needed
  14. Ensure adequate execution of and compliance to established policies, procedures and objectives
  15. Manage inventory and order office supplies
  16. Deliver exemplary customer service in order to provide a positive patient experience across the organization

Qualifications

Education:

  • Possession of a valid, active license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State as issued by the New York State Education Department 

License/Registration/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, required

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role, preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong clinical skills with an understanding of outpatient and ambulatory care procedures.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other healthcare technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to problem solve, strong written and verbal communication
