CONTROLLER / CFO (CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER) (Permanent)
Our client, an established manufacturing company in the N. Towns of Buffalo, NY, is looking to hire a Controller / CFO (the CEO is open to titles). This position reports to the CEO who is a fantastic leader! This is the sole Accounting/Finance employee that will work closely with an outsourced public accounting firm and have some internal support from employees who have cross-trained.

Responsibilities:

Daily oversight and management of all financial reporting processes and asset protection
Collaborate with the CEO to improve financial policies and procedures to continue driving the company’s growth
Manage daily processes of Accounts Payables/Receivables and Journal Entries to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Ensure accurate Profit and Loss (P&L) statements
Produce financial forecasts and budgets
Prepare financials and present to executive team
Work closely with outsourced accounting firm; prepare information for taxes, audits, valuation reporting, etc.
Complete month-end, quarterly-end, and year-end
Oversee all bank transactions and reconciliation of accounts
Analyze and identify discrepancies, issues, etc.; reconcile, rectify, and come up with solutions
Advise leadership team of potential risks in the financial reporting process
Work closely with multiple departments and build relationships
Instrumental in a new ERP system implementation: set up accounting/finance processes, controls, reports, etc.
Other duties as assigned

Details:

Position is full-time, direct hire; 100% in-office
$140,000-$175,000 annually depending on experience + profit sharing and bonus

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s Degree a plus
7+ years’ relevant accounting experience
