CCL Label Healthcare & Specialty Buffalo is looking for individuals with experience running flexographic presses to join our highly skilled team.  CCL is the world's largest label company and our facility produces complex functional labels for a variety of markets.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to the necessary quality standard and efficiencies.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain a flexographic Press in a safe, efficient manner meeting all customer requirements (quality, safety, and on-time delivery).
  • Perform routine TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) on equipment and necessary cleaning as required.
  • Works effectively with Press Helpers and Packagers.
  • Troubleshoot press problems and take corrective action to ensure job is completed to customer specifications.
  • Accurately report labor sheets, hour by hour tracking, and shift change turnover.
  • Train peers and new hires as assigned.
  • Complies with company, policies, procedures, and core processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical skillset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team environment.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2-4 years related experience required.

 

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted from floor to chest.

 

Starting salary range: $22.00 – 36.00/hour, actual compensation will be based on experience.
