We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our Buffalo team. This is a high-activity, phone-based sales role focused on outbound calling, lead qualification, and appointment setting in support of our outside sales team.
As the first point of contact for many potential clients, you'll play a critical role in creating interest, building relationships, and positioning Jani-King's services as the trusted solution for their facility needs. Your efforts will directly fuel the pipeline for our sales executives, helping expand our footprint in the greater Buffalo market. POSITION SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities by engaging with decision-makers through high-volume outbound calls, lead qualification, and appointment setting. You will introduce Jani-King's services, qualify potential opportunities, and schedule qualified, high-value appointments for our outside sales team.
Each day combines structured outreach with strategic follow-up — reaching out to hundreds of prospects across the greater Buffalo region, identifying needs, and building relationships that create real opportunities. You'll work closely with regional leadership and outside sales to ensure quality leads and a seamless handoff for closing business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Outreach & Engagement
- High-Volume Outreach: Proactively connect with targeted businesses across the greater Buffalo region through 200+ outbound calls daily, driving meaningful conversations and consistently meeting or exceeding activity goals.
- Engage & Qualify Prospects: Connect with decision-makers, introduce Jani-King's services, ask discovery questions to understand facility needs, and determine fit for our solutions.
- Lead Follow-Up: Reach out to prospects from inbound inquiries, marketing campaigns, networking events, and prior sales calls to keep the pipeline active.
- Sales Campaigns: Participate in targeted outreach efforts for industry-specific promotions, seasonal campaigns, or special events to boost lead flow.
Appointment Setting & CRM
- Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified, high-value appointments for the outside sales team, ensuring detailed notes and expectations are captured for a smooth handoff.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all call activity, conversations, and follow-ups in our CRM system to ensure visibility and accountability.
- Sales Team Collaboration: Work closely with outside sales representatives to align on territory strategies, share lead intelligence, and ensure scheduled appointments meet quality standards.
- Results Tracking: Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly activity against goals, making adjustments to call strategies to continuously improve results.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Prior telemarketing, inside sales, or outbound calling experience required
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems

 Compensation Package
$20 – $25/hour base pay + commission & performance bonuses

You'll work primarily on-site in a professional office setting with daily collaboration, team engagement, and phone-based outreach to businesses across the greater Buffalo region. This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment where you'll be speaking with a wide variety of business decision-makers each day.
Expect a structured, goal-focused atmosphere with the tools, training, and support to succeed. While most of your time will be spent on the phone and computer, you'll also participate in team meetings, strategy sessions, and occasional in-person events.
