The Role (And Why It Matters)

We need an Inside Sales Specialist who gets excited about being the first person pharmaceutical companies talk to when they need packaging solutions. You'll be the voice they hear when they're trying to figure out how to ship a new cancer therapy or get vaccines to rural clinics.

This isn't just about hitting numbers (though you'll definitely do that). You're helping ensure medications reach patients safely. That call you make today could help a biotech company get their breakthrough therapy to market faster.

What does that look like day-to-day? You'll be researching pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations, healthcare facilities, and pharmaceutical distribution centers. You'll make calls to decision-makers and set up meetings for our outside sales team. You'll use LinkedIn, industry databases, and good old-fashioned detective work to find the right people to talk to.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Prospecting (50%)

  • Make 80+ calls per day to pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations, and healthcare facilities
  • Talk to 6-10 decision makers daily (because not everyone picks up on the first try)
  • Use LinkedIn and other platforms to research prospects and find new accounts
  • Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns and trade shows

Appointment Setting & Sales Support (40%)

  • Set up 3-5 qualified appointments per week for our outside sales team
  • Follow our process for cold and warm calling (we'll teach you this)
  • Manage leads through our sales process
  • Keep detailed records in HubSpot

Learning & Development (10%)

  • Participate in inside sales training and peer group sessions
  • Help develop and maintain our CRM database
  • Use social media to build relationships with prospects

Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

  • 2+ years of inside sales experience (you know how to work the phones)
  • Experience with consultative sales techniques (not just order-taking)
  • Strong communication skills and professional phone presence
  • Reliable internet connection for remote work and MS Teams meetings

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated industries
  • CRM system experience.  HubSpot preferred
  • Understanding of B2B sales cycles
  • Social media savvy for prospecting

What Makes Someone Successful Here:

  • You're genuinely curious about how pharmaceutical companies work
  • You can handle rejection without taking it personally
  • You're organized and detail-oriented (pharmaceutical industry doesn't forgive sloppy work)
  • You like learning new things and getting better at what you do
  • You're motivated by knowing your work helps get medicines to patients
