Maintenance Technician - Masonry

Job Summary

Birgo is a mission-driven apartment management company dedicated to improving lives through real estate. We're looking for a Floating Maintenance Technician who specializes in Masonry. This is a full-time, year-round position. In the past, we've contracted out masonry work. Now we want to bring it in-house. Outside of masonry, this person will turn over units and complete work orders in apartments. 

Locations: Float to any of the ~14 communities in North Tonawanda, Buffalo, Hamburg, and Lockport. 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Develop in-house masonry capabilities
• Perform skilled exterior and structural work, including brick repair, tuckpointing, and waterproofing
• Turnovers/make-readies
• In-unit repairs such as drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or HVAC
• Other duties as identified to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States 
• Valid driver’s license
• Personal, reliable mode of transportation
• Lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
• Safely utilize power tools
• Work in confined spaces; ascend and descend ladders and staircases

Skills

• Brick repointing
• Well-rounded skill set in building maintenance
