MANUFACTURINGSUPERVISOR – AEROSPACE (Permanent)
Our client, an international manufacturing organization whoseUS headquarters are in WNY, is looking to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor tojoin their growing team. 


Responsibilities:

  • Lead andcoordinate daily manufacturing operations, including task delegation andensuring production schedules are followed
  • Collaborate withsupervisors and cross-functional departments to ensure seamless operations andconsistently meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Mentor, coach,and develop manufacturing team members, providing cross-training opportunitiesto maximize performance and promote career growth
  • Create and reinforcestandard work practices, ensuring all team members are properly trained andconsistently follow established procedures
  • Communicateperformance expectations clearly, provide constructive feedback, and hold teammembers accountable to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Conductperformance reviews, provide coaching, and deliver disciplinary warnings asnecessary
  • Communicatecustomer feedback and complaint trends to team members to promote awareness,accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Provide trainingsessions regularly and ensure team members are attending/completing and remainup to date
  • Partner withHuman Resources to address employee relations matters to ensure swift andeffective resolutions occur
  • Review, approve,and process employee time-off requests within payroll system; reconcile andapprove weekly payroll hours within established deadlines
  • Addressoperational issues as they arise, actively participating in the resolutionprocess
  • Create productionschedules, develop delivery commitments, and workflow strategies to optimizeefficiency and productivity
  • Evaluateworkforce needs and effectively plan staffing levels to support productiongoals and delivery commitments
  • Champion LeanManufacturing principles, including 5S, Daily Management, Visual Management,and continuous improvement initiatives to improve on-time delivery, reducewaste, enhance quality, and increase productivity
  • Develop positiveworking relationship with the union and adhere to the terms of the collectivebargaining agreement
  • Ensure operationsare being properly updated and documented within organizational systems
  • Work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary


Details:

  • Position is full-time, direct hire
  • 100% in-office Monday through Friday
  • $75,000 - $90,000 annually depending on experience

  • 5+ years’ Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in an engineering discipline
  • Proficient computer skills (Office365)
  • Strong organization skills and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail & accuracy
  • Self-motivated, but collaborative and team oriented
  • Relocation not available
