OVERVIEWÂ
The Operator is responsible for tending a machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, tying, packing, or wrapping containers by performing the following duties.Â

This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.Â

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Responsible for machine start up and observation of possible malfunctionsÂ
- Reports malfunctions to supervisor and makes minor adjustments or repairs (i.e. opening valves)Â
- Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices; performs all necessary actions to operate machine; unloads finished good.Â
- Performs quality control by inspecting filled containers to ensure product is packed to spec. and checking labels/stencils for correct lot number or shipping destinationÂ
- Completes all necessary paperworkÂ
- Replenishes packaging supplies as necessaryÂ
- Open to cross-functional training in all areas of operationÂ
- Work effectively and ensure that food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality are maintained.Â
- Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action.Â

WORK EXPERIENCESÂ
- Food manufacturing experience preferredÂ
- 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing or similar industry preferredÂ
- Prior experience troubleshooting equipmentÂ
- Prior experience operating a forklift preferredÂ

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSÂ
- HS Diploma or GED preferred but not requiredÂ
