Responsibilities
- Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, and prepare standard journal entries for assigned units
- Develop and document accounting processes and policies to strengthen internal controls, and investigate variances and reporting discrepancies, communicating issues on time
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures, review contracts, and calculate associated rent and royalty payments
- Coordinate with and review work prepared by an overseas third-party provider, carry out complex financial analysis, research, and reporting, and prepare documentation for internal and external auditors
- Assist the accounting manager in preparing documents, reports, and presentations for company leaders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance experience preferred; large multi-national company or hospitality industry experience a plus
- CPA is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of GAAP and expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft Financials or similar accounting software, and experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, or Power Automate
