This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product functionality, quality, and performance while adhering to project timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and development of new products from concept through production, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to optimize product designs and processes. - Conduct research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends, integrating findings into product design strategies. - Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports. - Utilize advanced design software and tools to create and test prototypes, ensuring functionality and performance meet established criteria. - Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. - Continuously evaluate and improve design processes to enhance efficiency and product quality. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the product design and development process. - Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve product designs and outcomes. QualificationsRequired Education: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Required Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design engineering, preferably in a senior or lead role. - Proven track record of successfully leading design projects from concept through production. - Experience working with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, marketing, and sales. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically. - Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. - Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively. - Strong leadership and team collaboration skills. - Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision in design work.
