SENIOR PRODUCTDESIGN ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client, a global manufacturing organization in WNY,is looking to hire a Senior Product Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a newly created position due togrowth.

Responsibilities:

Lead end‑to‑end newproduct development initiatives, from concept and modeling through prototyping,testing, and final production
Partner withmanufacturing, quality, and cross‑functional engineering teams to ensuredesigns are practical, cost‑efficient, and ready for production
Create comprehensivetechnical specifications, including material selection, tolerances,manufacturing processes, and assembly requirements
Utilize CAD tools (SolidWorks,AutoCAD, or Rhino) to develop 3D product models, technical drawings, andprototypes
Perform producttesting, performance analysis, and validation to ensure compliance with safety,quality, and customer specifications
Drive designimprovements focused on manufacturability, durability, cost optimization, long‑termperformance, and environmental sustainability
Contribute to APQPand continuous improvement efforts, including PFMEA, control plans, and PPAPdocumentation when applicable
Review technicaldesigns and mentor junior engineers
Stay up to date onemerging technologies, materials, and industry best practices in product andmanufacturing engineering
Work well bothindependently and in a team environment
Work on severalprojects at a given time—anywhere from 1-5, depending on complexity
Other duties asassigned/as necessary

Details:

Positionis full-time, direct hire, 1^st shift
100%in-office
$85,000 - $125,000annually depending on experience

Bachelor’s degree inManufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
4+years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient computerskills: CAD, MSOffice (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with APQPtools: DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, etc.
Greatinterpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strongorganization skills and time management skills
Strongattention to detail
Self-motivated
