Job DetailsJob Location: CTB - BUFFALO, NY 14225Position Type: Full-TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: DayJob Category: AccountingThe Staff Accountant position is a hands-on growth position in our accounting group responsible for all aspects of General Ledger and Cost Accounting Transactions.  You will be reconciling Accounts, supporting the month-end closing process, analyzing account variances, as well as maintaining the integrity of product costing. Other accounting projects will also be included.  What You’ll Do Maintain and record month-end journal entries in ERP-Accounting system Reconcile various accounts, including banking transactions Monitor all AR and AP transactions Monitor inventory transactions and cost inventory parts Prepare month-end financial package for management review Learn ERP-Accounting system to provide guidance to others and correct mistakes Support yearly audit and budget process   Additional Functions Analyze spending compared to budget Improve work processes and train others in them Support yearly upgrade of ERP-Accounting system through workflow definition and documentation Various accounting projects as required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or work history General knowledge of accounting principles 2-4 years of prior work experience is preferred   A successful candidate is someone who has the following traits: A professional demeanor Works well with others Great attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills A clear understanding of debits and credits Solid Excel skills Problem solving skills Self-motivated and quick learner Curious and willing to challenge yourself Prior knowledge of an ERP-Accounting system is preferred
