Purpose of the Position
The Material Control Coordinator will receive incoming material and deliver parts to the proper staging areas. They will assist the Repair Coordinator in expediting repairs through the various departments and assist the Quality Department in a Receiving Inspection role.
Main Tasks
- Receives incoming material and verifies its condition and piece count.
- Inputs receivers into the Management Information System.
- Receives incoming repairs, verifies condition, model and serial numbers and issues paperwork.
- Lifts/assists in receiving and shipping heavy materials.
- Performs Receiving Inspection functions in support to the Quality Department.
- Completes Inspection Procedures (Word documents) and Logs (Excel spreadsheets).
- Performs simple tests for electronic components.
- Verifies proper documentation.
- Labels parts for traceability.
- Completes rejection reports for non-conforming material.
- Assists in general maintenance and support activities within the Production Control Department as required.
- Performs other duties as needed.

Physical requirements:Â
- Ability to lift to 40 pounds on occasional basis.Â
- Ability to sit at a workbench or desk 50% of workday.Â
- Ability to walk, stand and/or bend 50% of workday.

Requirements Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 to 5 years’ experience in mechanical and electronic parts handling trackingÂ
- OR equivalent training and experience.
