Banquet Bartender

Our full-service team offers a personal touch, elegant accommodations, and award-winning cuisine for a variety of year-round events & celebrations. Our special event rooms showcase the best waterfront view in Buffalo and can host anywhere from 60-250 guests year-round.

Job Duties:

• Possess a wide range of drink recipes and be able to mix drinks accurately, quickly, and without waste.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages.
• Serve drinks and food to bar guests.
• Observe guests to respond to their needs and ensure total guest satisfaction by serving all items in a friendly and timely manner.
• Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests and handling an intoxicated guest.
• Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes.
• Stock and prepare garnishes for drinks.
• Maintain an adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies where needed
• Collect payment and operate Toast POS computer quickly and efficiently.
• Balance and secure all moneys at the end of shift.
• Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in clean, Company approved uniform at all times.
• Must be able to operate Toast P.O.S. computer, make change correctly, and make credit card transactions.

Strength demands:

• Medium work. Includes exerting approx. 30 lbs several times per shift.
• Walking and standing during a 6-8 hour shift.

Education/ Experience:

• Must be able to pass bar training and validation process.
• 2+ years experience in a Bartending role required

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate English.

• Bartending - Advanced
• Serving - Intermediate

Education Preferred: High School or better.

Experience Required:

• 2 + years: Bartending

Licenses & Certifications Required:

Food Handler Certificate (Will provide training to obtain certification)

Alcohol Awareness Certificate (Will provide training to obtain certification)
