Job DetailsJob Location: FLA-Daytona Beach Flagler Service Center - BUNNEL, FL 32110Position Type: Part Time with Benefits 20 or MoreEducation Level: Associate DegreeSalary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Social ServicesSchedule/Hours: M– F 9:00a.m.–2:30pm  (29 hours per week) This position is responsible for: Actively Locates and evaluates the needs of the homeless population in the community and ensures service delivery to this population; assesses the needs of individuals and connects then with various resources available through the Salvation Army along with agencies in the area. Serves as advocate for clients in order to acquire services that will enable them to functionally cope with their environment. Key Responsibilities: Interview applicants to determine eligible for services based on established guideline and requirements; conducts needs assessments obtains pertains information and establish goals for eligible clients; refers applicants to other agencies.   Maintains creditable relationship with the homeless population nurturing a trusting in a continuing effort to preside homeless to enter The Salvation Army resident and non- resident’s programs and tracking individuals unwilling to enter residential programs.   Attends community meetings with representatives of other agencies in order to educate them about the program while discovering the needs of the entities as it relates to the homeless community.   Prepare and maintain case records and logs on all assigned clients; ensure the accuracy and completeness of the same; enters pertinent information into established homeless management information system (HMIS)  All employees recognize that The Salvation Army is a church and agree that they will do nothing as an employee of The Salvation Army to undermine its religious mission. WHAT WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU. EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE: two year college course  from an accredited college or university in social work, behavior AND  any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
