Hours:  4 or 5:00am start time - until done

***This position is located within a jail/correctional facility and would be working around inmates.***

This position is onsite located within a jail/correctional facility and you will work around inmates. You will report to the Operations Manager.

The KCN Driver maintains and safely operates a delivery vehicle for transporting commissary orders to specified KCN commissary personnel and locations. You will also assist in loading and unloading commissary orders at the designated pick-up and drop-off locations, ensuring it loads and secures orders.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Ensure orders have been signed for and released to approved KCN employees only.
• Maintain all paperwork/documentation on all inventory shipped.
• Report any discrepancies or incidents related to product delivery or equipment malfunctions/damages.
• Maintain required driving laws.
• Conduct general and preventative maintenance, refueling, and cleaning on delivery vehicle to ensure proper, clean and safe drivability.
• Maintain all forms, certifications, and requirements to remain in acceptable standing with OSHA and DOT.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

• High school diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Work in a correctional environment.
• Define problems and resolve them quickly.

As an hourly employee, you are eligible for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost to you.  You will accrue one (1) hour of paid Sick leave per every thirty (30) hours worked.
