Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Los Angeles - Burbank, CA 91505Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: AnyJob Category: EducationPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision from the Director of Summer Camps and the Edit Lab Supervisor, the seasonal Edit Lab Technical Assistant (TA) will be  will be responsible for providing post production services, supervising and advising campers, aged 10-17, in the edit lab, and providing technical assistance with Adobe Premiere during Open Edit and Editing classes.   The Summer Camps run from June 22 to August 19, 2026 and we are looking for applicants in part-time capacities. There are two positions available within the Post Department: Acting for Film Edit TA or Edit Lab TA.   Please indicate which position you are most interested in within your Resume and Cover Letter, in addition to outlining your technical and professional experience.    REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The day-to-day duties required of this position may vary. Edit Lab Assistance Supervise campers and ensure the proper and safe use of equipment and software Log and archive footage Prepare camper computers for editing sessions Assist teachers and campers during Editing classes Assist campers during their independent editing sessions and ensure campers meet deadlines Maintain edit lab facilities Offer technical instruction to campers Pack and deliver media to and from location Provide facilities support, including but not limited assisting with final screenings Provide equipment inventory assistance and/or assist with equipment orders Edit projects through multiple cuts from capture to final output Carry projects through the finishing stages of Post Production Maintain flexibility amongst competing priorities and last minute changes Maintain quality control of projects under your care Other duties as assigned   Post Production Assistance Edit scenes according to script and director notes  Gather and organize daily footage from acting classes Office related tasks pertaining to post production Maintain flexibility amongst competing priorities and last minute changes. Maintain quality control of projects under your care and ensure deadlines are met Label and deliver media.  Provide facilities support, including but not limited assisting with final screenings Provide equipment inventory assistance and/or assist with equipment orders Other duties as assigned QualificationsKNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Adobe Media Encoder, web technologies and networks, and Apple computers MUST have working knowledge of IT systems and computer networksExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds including camper, faculty and staff.  A strong commitment to and enthusiasm for engaging with young artists and mentoring their artistic ambitions and talents Ability to work hard, responds to emergencies, and always maintains the safety and educational environment for the campers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.  Perform basic math Understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ethical / Honest - evidence of the practice of high-level confidentiality. Service and Action oriented – does what it takes to meet the expectations of customers Collaborative – enlists information from all sources to ensure the best solution to an issue   EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION: High School/GED required Experience working in a fast pace multi-tasking results driven environment with attention to detail Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and GSuite Film/video production experience strongly preferred.  Experience teaching, leading and or working with Kids/Teens plus   REPRESENTATIVE MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND/OR SOFTWARE USED: The following machines, tools, equipment and / or software are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position.
