Basden Steel - Millwright

As an Millwright, you will work on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and relocation of industrial machinery and production equipment throughout our steel fabrication operations. We are looking for dependable individuals who can work independently, think through problems, and support a strong safety-first culture. Responsibilities

• Move and position equipment and machinery safely using proper rigging and material handling methods
• Align machinery using precision tools such as micrometers, levels, jacks, and hoists
• Assemble, dismantle, maintain, and install industrial equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and identify effective repair solutions
• Utilize forklifts, cranes, hoists, and trucks to complete projects safely and efficiently
• Use hand tools, measuring instruments, cutting equipment, welding, and brazing tools as needed
• Assist maintenance mechanics and production teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime
• Inspect and replace worn or defective machine components
• Package, label, and organize machine parts accurately during tear-down and rebuild projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at the end of each shift
• Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and industry best practices
• Occasionally lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds
• Occasional travel required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of Millwright or industrial maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or steel fabrication environments preferred
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, hoists, and rigging equipment
• Working knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety standards
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Must be physically capable of performing job duties in an industrial environment
