Responsibilities
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion plus users.
- Design flows and experiences that simplify and distil down complex actions into usable interfaces.
- Design new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems.
- Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Meta products.
- Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually improve for quality.
- Drive a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists in order to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.
- 20% domestic travel required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Interactive Telecommunications, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
- Requires 12 months experience in following:
- Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs
- Prototyping
- Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography
- Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users
- Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts
- Defining product specifications and user experiences
- Understanding and interpreting user research and usability testing
- Conducting end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts and high-fidelity prototypes, AND
- Leading end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
$214,506/year to $230,230/year + bonus + equity + benefits
