Job Description:

Role Overview:

Join our Colon & Rectal Surgery team providing direct physical diagnosis and therapeutic care for patients with complex conditions across inpatient and ambulatory settings.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with faculty, fellows, residents, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive, patient-centered care. This is an ideal opportunity for both early-career and experienced APPs (0–1+ years of experience required).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Care: Conduct history & physical exams, formulate care plans, order/interpret diagnostic tests, and manage direct patient care (including opioid management).

  • Care Coordination: Act as a central liaison between visiting nurses, clinical staff, and consult services to ensure seamless care delivery.

  • Collaboration & Education: Educate patients/families, serve as a clinical resource for staff, and partner with attending surgeons on complex cases.

  • Documentation: Clear, timely, and precise charting of all clinical encounters.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.

  • Experience: 0–1 years of related clinical experience.

  • Licensing & Certifications:

    • Must be a PA or NP with Board Certification in Adult Gerontology Acute Care.

    • Valid Prescriptive Authority (MA DPH-DCP & Federal DEA).

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.

  • Preferred experience:

    • Experience in a teaching hospital or relevant surgical specialty.

    • Experience in Pain Management.

Schedule & Expectations:

  • Inpatient and/or ambulatory settings.

  • Some off-hours, weekends, and on-call coverage required.

Pay Range:

$133,120.00 USD - $215,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
