Vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, empty trash, and sanitize designated areas. Clean and disinfect restrooms throughout campus. Strip, wax, buff, and maintain hard surface floors as assigned. Shampoo carpets and clean windows on a scheduled basis. Respond promptly to unexpected cleaning needs, including infection control situations, using proper safety procedures. Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous waste in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Maintain housekeeping supplies and restock cleaning materials as needed. Report maintenance concerns and follow up to ensure repairs are completed. Assist with basic outdoor maintenance, including mulching, shrub trimming, and general grounds upkeep as needed. Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for youth, staff, and visitors. Support Burlington UMFS's mission by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, confidentiality, and respect in every interaction. Perform other related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license. Ability to successfully complete required background screening. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive cleaning activities throughout the workday. Preferred Experience Experience is helpful but not required. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in: Housekeeping Environmental services Janitorial services Custodial work Hospitality Commercial cleaning Facility maintenance On-the-job training is provided for the right candidate.
