Summary of Role: MTS Etch Process Engineer: We are seeking candidates for the position of Ech Process Engineer with a strong passion for developing processes for new technology offerings and advanced manufacturing, to expand GF’s technology portfolio.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across product development and process integration to determine and develop etch processes.
  • Develop and execute experiments to progress R&D projects in a 200mm High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) foundry environment.
  • Collaborate with experts across GF fabs to promote sharing and learning across fabs
  • Collaborate with Equipment Supplier to determine industry capabilities and evaluate options applicable to GF technology roadmap
  • Follow up with cross-fab benchmarking activities to engage the best-in-class practices across fabs. 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Bachelor’s, Masters or Ph.D Degree in electrical / electronic / Mechanical / Microelectronics / Chemical process Engineering / Chemistry / Physics or related field.  
  • Experience - Minimum 5 year of working experience in 200mm etch process development.
  • Skills- Knowledge and hands on experience with 200mm etch tooling
  • Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience – Worked in 200mm fabrication facility.
  • Experience- Broad knowledge in 200mm patterning processes
  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.

Expected Salary Range

$98,000.00 - $176,000.00
