Job DetailsJob Location: Bonfiglioli USA - Hebron, KY 41048Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayThe Quality Inspector will report directly to the Plant Quality Manager and will require an opportunity to train both domestically and internationally. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for the overall quality of incoming materials from suppliers in Europe and North America. CMM familiarity is required. Principal Accountabilities Perform CMM measurements with full dimensional layouts using PCDMIS and Quindos software on pre-production, prototype, and production components. Coordinate with outside calibration service providers to ensure all gages and measuring equipment are calibrated and documented according to established schedules. Perform dimensional layouts and inspections on suspect parts returned from customers, field locations, or internal production. Manage internal calibration schedules and maintain calibration records for all inspection, measuring, and test equipment. Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting of hand measuring instruments and gages as needed. Evaluate gage condition and remove damaged or out-of-tolerance equipment from service. Support the purchase, setup, identification, and implementation of new inspection and measuring equipment. Train employees on the proper use and care of inspection equipment and gages. Support Supplier Quality Engineers and Quality Management by providing inspection data, measurement reports, and supplier quality documentation. Process SAP quality notifications and claims requiring material disposition or scrap. Perform Gage R&R studies and Cpk studies as requested by the Plant Quality Manager or customers. Lead daily laboratory activities to maximize productivity while maintaining accurate inspection records. Maintain the Quality Lab in accordance with 5S standards and ensure equipment remains organized and audit-ready. Assist with investigation of measurement discrepancies and support root cause analysis for quality concerns. Verify calibration status of equipment before use and ensure compliance with quality management system requirements. Support internal and external quality audits by providing calibration and inspection records. Education / Experience Working knowledge of CMM operation and GD&T interpretation. Experience conducting dimensional inspections and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Experience developing and implementing both short-term containment actions and long-term corrective actions for quality issues. PCDMIS software programming knowledge preferred. Quindos Gear Software knowledge is a plus. High School Diploma with 5+ years of CMM and/or metrology experience in lieu of a degree. Competencies / Requirements Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and geometric tolerancing. Strong mathematical aptitude, including geometry, trigonometry, and measurement calculations. Experience participating in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Ability to coordinate and execute short- and long-term quality improvement actions. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. SAP experience required; SCE experience is a plus. IndySoft calibration software knowledge is a plus. Internal gage calibration experience. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Qualifications
