Responsibilities

  • Welding and Fabrication:

    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.

    • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.

    • Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and handle metal shaping and cutting.

  • Inspection and Quality Control:

    • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards.

    • Conduct tests to determine weld quality and strength.

    • Repair or rework defective welds.

  • Equipment Maintenance:

    • Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe work environment.

    • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of welding tools.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work with other fabricators, engineers, and project managers to meet production goals.

    • Communicate clearly about project status, issues, and solutions

Qualifications


  • Proven experience as a welder (2+ years preferred).

  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, arc welding, etc.).

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).

  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; professional certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) is a plus.
