General Ophthalmologist

Join our team! Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (a founding member of Beth Israel Lahey Health) is seeking a General Ophthalmologist to join our dynamic Division of Ophthalmology.

About Lahey:

  • Physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of 600+ doctors.
  • 317-bed tertiary care facility with outpatient clinics and a Level I trauma center in Burlington, MA.
  • Multiple locations in the northern and western suburbs of Boston (Burlington, Peabody, Arlington, and Lynnfield).
  • Excellent school systems, abundant cultural activities, and convenient access to mountains and seacoast.
  • Fully integrated EPIC EHR platform.

About the Role:

  • Join a dynamic ophthalmology service with 16 ophthalmologists and 8 optometrists.
  • Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic care.
  • Participate in resident teaching (affiliated University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine residency program).
  • Collaborate with colleagues on clinical, academic, and administrative projects.
  • Research interests are welcomed and supported.
  • Opportunity for academic appointments at the University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine.
  • Potential involvement in international teaching and service (Egypt, Turkey, and El Salvador).

State-of-the-Art Facilities & Equipment:

  • Four modern and fully equipped offices.
  • State-of-the-art surgical facility in Peabody.
  • Operating rooms equipped with LenSx, Centurion phacoemulsification machines, Zeiss Lumera microscopes, ORA system, ECP, and MicroPulse laser unit.
  • Clinics equipped with Argon, SLT, Nd:YAG lasers, OCTs, Optos, Visual fields, ERGs.
  • Anterior segment OCT imaging and dry eye management/treatment technologies (LipiScan, LipiView, IPL).

Qualifications:

  • Board certified or eligible in Ophthalmology.
  • Excellent surgical and clinical skills.

Pay Range:

$250,000.00 USD - $350,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on several factors, that may include education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography of work location, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include productivity and quality bonuses.
