About The Position

 We are seeking a skilled Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician for an 80-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Vermont, starting 07/07/2025. The ideal candidate will work four days per week, from 8 AM to 5 PM, in an outpatient clinic setting. Additionally, the physician will provide 24-hour call coverage one weekend per month, from Friday 5 PM to Monday 8 AM. This role involves delivering comprehensive care for spasticity patients, including Botox treatments, spinal cord injury management, general musculoskeletal and PM&R care, EMG studies, joint injections, and other related procedures. The physician will work in an Orthopedics & Rehabilitation Center, utilizing the Epic system for patient management. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a diverse rehabilitation setting with potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide outpatient clinic sessions for spasticity patients
  • Administer Botox treatments for various conditions
  • Manage spinal cord injury cases
  • Conduct general musculoskeletal and PM&R evaluations and treatments
  • Perform EMG studies and interpret results
  • Administer joint injections and other related procedures
  • Utilize Epic system for patient management and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the rehabilitation center
  • Provide on-call coverage as scheduled
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in PM&R and rehabilitation medicine
  • Offer patient education on rehabilitation processes and home care


Additional Information:

  • Active Vermont medical license required
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Experience with Botox treatments and EMG studies preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR system a plus
  • Strong clinical skills in managing complex rehabilitation cases
  • Excellent communication skills for patient and team interactions
  • Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting
