Position Overview
We are expanding our remote team and seeking organized, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy researching destinations, coordinating details, and helping others create enjoyable vacation experiences.
As a Travel Planning Specialist, you will work with clients to understand what they want from their trip, explore available vacation options, and help organize the services that fit their preferences. This role combines customer service, research, planning, and reservation support in a flexible remote environment.
Previous travel-industry experience is not required. Training and ongoing educational resources are provided to help you develop the skills needed for the position.
What You'll Do
- Discuss travel goals, preferred destinations, dates, interests, and budget considerations with clients
- Research hotels, resorts, cruises, vacation packages, transportation, tours, excursions, and activities
- Compare available choices and identify options that align with individual client requests
- Help clients organize accommodations, transportation, experiences, and other vacation components
- Coordinate selected arrangements through approved supplier and reservation platforms
- Prepare booking confirmations, itinerary information, schedules, and applicable travel documentation
- Track important reservation deadlines and follow up on information still needed
- Keep clients updated throughout the planning process and respond to routine questions
- Assist with modifications, cancellations, scheduling adjustments, and special requests
- Review traveler information and reservation details to help ensure accuracy
- Maintain organized client notes, booking records, and communication history
- Continue building destination and product knowledge through supplier education and training
