The Role
Entegris is currently seeking anĀ EngineeringĀ ManagerĀ to join ourĀ Manufacturing EngineeringĀ team. This position will be based in ourĀ Burnet, TXĀ facility.Ā
Ā
In this role, you willĀ lead a team of engineersĀ whose objective is to sustain and continuously improve specialty chemicalĀ manufacturingĀ processesĀ for productsĀ used in semiconductor manufacturing. Our specialty chemicals enable our customers to build high performance semiconductor products.Ā This role will be primarily responsible for the engineeringĀ team that supportsĀ ourĀ SolidsĀ productionĀ work cell.Ā Ā Ā

Set to a āSafety Firstā culture by performing equipment, process, and behavioral audits and recommending/implementing solutions to risks.Ā
Set the work direction within the work cell for a team of full time and rotational engineers, coops and interns.Ā
Translate the site goals intoĀ short- and long-termĀ goals for theĀ solidsĀ engineering teamĀ
Support your direct team through regular coaching and feedback as well as any escalation support as necessary. Ensure individualās growth by creating and identifying development opportunities both throughĀ day-to-dayĀ projects and tasks as well as formal continuing education.Ā
Lead by example, by making individual technical contribution, completing your own projects, and supporting manufacturing directly in addition to supervisory duties.Ā
Collaborate with Production management for your work cell to develop improvement roadmaps and align your working team.Ā
Lead and facilitateĀ root causeĀ identification evaluations toĀ develop and implement corrective/preventative actions along with material disposition to resolve both internal and external non-conformances. Collaborate with customer teams on reporting findings and action closures, using 8D template when applicable.Ā
Collaborate withĀ customer quality engineeringĀ organization to support customer requests as well as audits.Ā
Ensure the team maintainsĀ and improvesĀ key process documentation such as work instructions,Ā SAP master data,Ā FMEAs, and control plans and incorporate updates as new failure modes are identified or process changes are implemented.Ā Ā
Develop and/or maintain target capacity data for equipment and processes to be used in production planning orĀ long-rangeĀ strategic planning exercises.Ā
Leverage capacity data to identify bottlenecks and candidates for capacity expansion projects. Scope and execute capacity expansion projects to completion.Ā
Communicate effectively across the organization (e.g. marketing, R&D, facilities, operations, etc.) to drive a result.Ā Contribute to the direction of the department in partnership with other members of the team and leadershipĀ
Persistently drive resolution to highest impact issues/threats to manufacturing with a strong sense of urgency and integrityĀ

WhatĀ WeĀ SeekĀ
Bachelor of ScienceĀ in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or similarĀ preferred.Ā Ā
10+ years ofĀ experience in a technical roleĀ
5+Ā yearsāĀ experienceĀ in a managerial role in the semiconductor industry or related industriesĀ providing oversight and direct coaching to a team of engineersĀ
Experience transferring and/or scaling up new chemical manufacturing processesĀ
Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) as well as statistical data analysis for application to Qualification and Validation. Experience with Minitab a plus. Preferred Lean/Black Belt certification, and competency in statistical process control methodologyĀ
Demonstrated ability to lead structuredĀ problem-solvingĀ using tools such as 8D, FMEA, 5 Why, RCA,Ā etcĀ
Experience working with the business units and customers to lead technical task force teams to solve quality problems at customer sitesĀ
Aptitude for leadership to drive cross-functional project execution and problem solving while maintaining positive/collaborative working relationshipsĀ
Ability to present technical data to all levels of the organizationĀ
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and wear PPE as necessaryĀ
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally in support of various engineering projects/escalations (<5%)Ā
Familiarity with handling hazardous materialsĀ
