Join Our Radiology Team!

Harney District Hospital is looking for a Radiological Technologist to join our Radiology team. This position provides an opportunity to work in a variety of imaging modalities while building your skills and expanding your certifications.

The Radiological Technologist works closely with patients, physicians, and hospital staff to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a professional and compassionate environment. This position performs radiologic examinations under the direction of a radiologist and participates in an on-call rotation to provide coverage outside of regular department hours.

Professional Growth & Cross-Training

We are committed to helping our Radiology Technologists continue to grow their skills. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Obtain CT certification within the first six months of employment.
  • Begin working toward MRI certification after completing CT certification.
  • Obtain Mammography certification based on department needs.
  • Maintain required ARRT registry and Oregon licensing requirements for applicable modalities.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiology training program.
  • At least one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Current ARRT certification.
  • Current Oregon licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Strong knowledge of radiology principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, coworkers, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • ARRT certification in CT and/or Mammography.
  • ARDMS certification in Ultrasound.
  • Experience working in multiple imaging modalities.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a hospital environment and may include 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving equipment or patients. Employees may regularly move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally assist with moving heavier equipment or patients with assistance.
