Description
Summary: Maximize profit through refinishing jewelry by using several different polishing techniques with a keen eye for detail
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Polish, clean and steam all jewelry
- Return jewelry to proper envelopes
- Keen eye for detail on finished jewelry
- Use multiple jewelry tools
- Sort, weigh and use test acid during scrap process
- Remove inscriptions and separate wedding sets
- Be precise with billing and shipping to correct location
- Other duties as assigned by upper management
Requirements
Qualifications:
Formal Education and Experience Requirement (Must meet one or more of the following requirements):
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of jewelry experience
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of jewelry equipment
- Knowledge of basic goldsmithing
Physical Requirements:
- Stand or sit (stationary position) 80% of day
- Walk (move, traverse) 20% of day
- Use hands/fingers to handle or feel (operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position) 100% of day
- Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (ascend/descend, work atop, traverse) 20% of day
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (position self to, move) 30% of day
- Talk/hear (communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, exchange information) 100% of day
- See (detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, assess) 100% of day
- Taste/smell (detect, distinguish, determine) 100% of day
- Pushing or pulling 20% of day
- Reaching 20% of day
- Repetitive Motion 60% of day
Lifting Requirements:
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
