Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in an autonomous manner by utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice. This includes incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PHNS policy.
 Work Schedule:
Monday, Thursday, Friday
7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.Â
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Graduate from course of study in nursing resulting in a minimum of an associate degree/diploma in nursing.Â
- One or more years’ experience infusion nursingÂ
- Role may require completion of the ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy course or equivalent 2-day course.Â
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Must maintain a current state registered nurse license.
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong clinical and human relations skills.Â
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and PHNS.Â
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.Â
- Safely and effectively operates the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon area of specialty), Personal Computer, Photocopier, Printer, and Telephone.

- Preferred certification in oncology nursing.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Keyboarding skills preferred.Â
