Industrial Service Technician / CDL Driver
The Industrial Service Technician / CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles, transporting materials, equipment, and chemical products, and providing field service support to customers. This position combines commercial driving, equipment installation and maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, customer service, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will safely and effectively support customer operations while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles, including service trucks, delivery vehicles, and other assigned equipment.
Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload chemical products, materials, equipment, tools, and supplies in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
Perform equipment installation, setup, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities at customer locations and company facilities.
Diagnose and repair pressure washers, pumps, dilution equipment, metering systems, and other related industrial equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and replace parts and components as needed to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, multimeters, pressure gauges, and other diagnostic and service equipment.
Respond to customer service requests in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
Follow dispatch instructions, delivery schedules, route plans, and customer site requirements.
Maintain accurate records, including delivery documentation, service reports, inspection forms, mileage logs, and other required records.
Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, dispatch personnel, and team members regarding equipment status, repairs, deliveries, and service needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, DOT regulations, environmental procedures, and customer-specific safety rules.
Properly handle, transport, and store chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
Assist with warehouse, shop, inventory, yard, and facility operations as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Obtain and maintain customer site specific safety and work certifications

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
Minimum of two (2) years of commercial driving experience required.
Ability to satisfy all DOT, company, and insurance carrier requirements.
Acceptable driving record.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repair activities.
Ability to read and understand work orders, safety information, product labels, equipment manuals, and service documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in industrial service, field service, manufacturing, construction, chemical distribution, equipment rental, environmental services, or related industries.
Experience operating commercial or industrial vehicles.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing pressure washers, pumps, dilution equipment, and related industrial equipment.
Ability to read equipment diagrams, parts breakdowns, and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of small engines, high-pressure water pumps, and pressure washer systems.
Basic plumbing knowledge, including water and gas line connections.
Experience working with chemical dispensing and metering equipment.
Forklift certification or experience.
Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to safely move drums, containers, and equipment using proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment.
Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, and perform physical work for extended periods.
Ability to enter and exit commercial vehicles and customer equipment safely.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, respirators, and other equipment as required.

Work Environment and Schedule
This position requires work at customer facilities, industrial sites, warehouses, shops, and outdoor locations. Work schedules may include early mornings, evenings, overtime, weekends, emergency service response, and occasional overnight travel based on business and customer needs.

Employment Standards
Employees must maintain a valid CDL, Hazmat endorsement, Tanker endorsement, acceptable driving record, DOT qualification, and all other required licenses, certifications, and endorsements throughout employment. Failure to maintain required qualifications may result in removal from the position or termination of employment.
