Job Summary

North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery is seeking a highly organized, service-driven Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients and referring providers, the PCC plays a vital role in shaping the overall patient experience and ensuring the front office operates with professionalism, precision, and compassion.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome and assist patients with professionalism, warmth, and empathy
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient communication and scheduling
  • Ensure patients feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout their visit
  • Coordinate patient scheduling to maximize efficiency and clinical flow
  • Maintain accurate patient records, insurance information, and documentation
  • Prepare and audit patient charts for completeness and compliance
  • Collect and reconcile patient payments in accordance with financial policies
  • Manage inbound and outbound patient communications
  • Confirm appointments and proactively manage daily schedule flow
  • Coordinate referral correspondence with referring providers
  • Ensure the front office environment reflects NPOS professionalism and brand standards
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policies
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, assistants, billing specialists, and leadership

Requirements

  •  Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare
