Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine driving patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a controlled environment through strong communication and customer service. This armed, driving post offers the chance to work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, where a caring culture and integrity guide every interaction.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or access points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support access control procedures for restricted areas in accordance with post orders.
• Work collaboratively with onsite personnel and/or public agency representatives while maintaining awareness of surroundings and following all applicable armed post responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
