Job Summary:
Sets up, operates, and manipulates a variety of computerized and manually controlled machines for metal forming. Operates machine(s) in a prescribed safe manner ā bending and roll forming tube, drilling holes, tapping threads, finishing and cleaning product, tube cutting/trimming, end forming, grinding/polishing, and cleaning. Performing these operations requires working with additional equipment such as overhead cranes, fixtures, metrology gages and hand tools. This position requires reading, planning, verifying fixture calibration and performing regular operator maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up machines and CNC or NC programs according to work instructions to trim, bend, form, and inspect material to meet fabrication drawing requirements.
- Trim, deburr, and prepare material for bending.
- Bend, form, clean, cold work, polish, and inspect product using fixtures, jigs, shop aids, etc. to meet requirements.
- Read and understand blueprints, travelers/routers, and work instructions.
- Inspect, maintain, and log preventative maintenance on equipment needed for tube bending or forming.
- Provide instruction and technical support on any parts, equipment, and processes assigned to manufacturing cell.
- Troubleshoot and solve manufacturing quality deficiencies within cell.
- Maintains tools and equipment, keeps work area clean and free from debris
- Participates in training across tube bending and machining production areas
- Ensures that quality standards are met
- Complies with all MTPP safety and quality procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
- 1st (Day) Shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
Work Environment:
- May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels).

Requirements
- Strong understanding of angles, planes, and associated geometry.
- Mathematical and reading skills.
- Ability to read/write/speak English
- US Person Status
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen or criminal background check
- Mathematical Ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to work safely and adequately using hand tools, saws, sanders, and clamps
- Good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills
- Ability to lift 25 to 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to follow instructions and report information
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience reading and interpreting hand metrology equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, go-no-go thread and pin gages
- Experience setting up fixtures, manually controlled machining equipment, roll and tube bending machinery
- Background knowledge of concepts and operational experience in tube bending or manual machining, part cleaning, and metrology
