Job DetailsJob Location: Pittsburgh Office - Burgettstown, PA 15021NVI is seeking experienced Phased Array (PAUT) Technicians to support a long-term project near Homer City, Pennsylvania. This position will work a schedule of five 10-hour shifts per week and requires experience performing inspections in accordance with ASME codes and standards. Apply Now! The Level II Phased Array Technician will be responsible for the following actions/tasks: Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods of inspection. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. Organize and report test results. Perform specialized inspections. Instruct and supervise others. Able to handle other methods of inspection such as MT & PT in either a laboratory or field setting. Required to classify and size flaws and the ability to plot and locate flaws. Able to perform ultrasonic inspection of structural members in accordance with current editions of AWS D1.1 and API RP2X. Able to perform ultrasonic inspection of pressure members in accordance with current editions of ASME standards such as Section I, Section V, Section VIII, B31.1, B31.3. Able to perform ultrasonic inspection of pipeline welding in accordance with API 1104, 20th edition. Any other assignment necessary to meet responsibilities set forth by the Company. Any other activity deemed necessary by the Division Manager. QualificationsRequired Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or G.E.D. Current certifications in UT Flaw and PAUT methods. Familiar with applicable welding codes, i.e. ASME, API, AWS, Familiar with ASME V Article 4 PA Requirements, Familiar with ASME Code Case Requirements. Knowledgeable with OSHAs General and Construction safety industries. Required to pass FBI and Company drug/alcohol testing, Fit for Duty testing, Ergonomic testing, and a motor vehicle check.   Preferred Qualifications SNT-TC-1A/ACCP Level II MT, PT, UT Certifications, or Documented field hours and classroom education that meets or exceeds SNT-TC-1A certification requirements for methods of MT, PT, UT & RT. Previously certified in Time-of-Flight Diffraction. Proficient with ES Beam Tool. Experience inspecting chrome piping systems
