Assistant Center Director (Childcare / Preschool)
Location: The Learning Experience – Byron Center, MI
Salary: $45,000–$48,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Byron Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Center Director to support daily operations, mentor teachers, and strengthen family engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily center operations and classroom quality
  •  Ensure compliance with Michigan licensing and safety standards
  •  Recruit, coach, and support teaching staff
  •  Assist with staffing, scheduling, and reporting
  •  Conduct tours and support enrollment growth
  •  Partner with the Center Director on retention and family satisfaction
  •  Step into classrooms as needed to maintain ratios and program consistency

Qualifications

  • Experience in childcare leadership or preschool administration preferred
  •  Strong communication and organizational skills
  •  Knowledge of licensing standards and staffing practices
  •  Ability to support both operational and classroom needs
