Construction Laborer – Petroleum Equipment Installation

Rohr Gasoline Equipment | Byron Center, MI

Starting Pay: $22.00–$27.00/hour DOE
Higher starting pay is negotiable for candidates with exceptional petroleum industry experience.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of petroleum fueling systems.
  • Perform excavation support, underground piping, concrete, and site work.
  • Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely.
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites.
  • Work alongside experienced technicians on commercial fueling projects.
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Construction or labor experience preferred.
  • Petroleum industry experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Requirements

 

Physical Requirements & Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required with an acceptable driving record.
  • Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in trenches or on uneven terrain.
  • Must be able to safely lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and work around heavy equipment.
  • Must be willing to travel to job sites as required.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with the Company's drug and alcohol policy.
