As an Order Entry Technician, you'll ensure prescription orders are entered accurately, processed efficiently, and delivered to the pharmacy team on schedule. What You'll Do as an Order Entry Technician

  • Accurately enter new and refill prescription orders into the pharmacy system
  • Review and verify medication order information, including dosage, frequency, route, and duration
  • Contact facilities to clarify prescription orders when needed
  • Generate prescription labels for pharmacy processing and delivery
  • Process insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and census information
  • Assist with claim adjudication and resolve order-related issues
  • Provide excellent customer service while handling incoming calls
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all pharmacy regulations and company policies

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board-approved training program, CPhT certification, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee Registration
  • Strong computer, typing, and data entry skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
