Summary:

 

The Mining Haul Truck Giant Tire Repairman is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of large off-the-road (OTR) tires used on mining haul trucks and other heavy equipment. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of mining equipment by performing tire inspections, repairs, and replacements on-site

 

Experience:

  • Preferred 5 years’ experience in tire repair and maintenance within the mining sector.
  • Familiarity with large OTR tires and heavy mining equipment.
  • Experience with tire handlers, manipulators and service trucks is preferred.

Duties:

  • Dismount and mount tires on various mining vehicles, including haul trucks and loaders.
  • Operate heavy-duty tire servicing equipment and tools.
  • Conduct equipment checks and calibrations.
  • Maintain appropriate tire inspection and maintenance programs on-site

Safety and Compliance:

 

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements.
  • Report hazards, unsafe work conditions, and equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Always use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in regular safety meetings.

 

Work Environment:

  • Involves exposure to dust and noise.
  • Shift schedules may vary, including nights and weekends.
  • Extreme weather conditions.
