Summary

The Associate Engineer applies technical engineering knowledge and an understanding of business objectives and manufacturing operations to support activities within a specific manufacturing engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Support and take ownership of manufacturing engineering technical tasks that may involve multiple inter-coordinating elements.
Apply engineering principles to manufacturing operations and technical assignments.
Anticipate and identify technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
Apply creative problem-solving approaches when established methods or precedents may not exist.
Evaluate the potential impact of technical solutions on other systems, processes, or components.
Participate in technical peer reviews to confirm engineering approaches and project direction.
Support verification and validation activities and associated technical reviews.
Collaborate with peers, mentors, manufacturing personnel, and cross-functional teams.
Support manufacturing objectives while maintaining applicable engineering and operational requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

0–2 years of experience in an engineering discipline; advanced education may be considered toward the required level of skill.

Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing operations.

Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.

Ability to identify technical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Ability to work effectively with peers, mentors, and cross-functional teams.

Exposure to verification and validation activities preferred.

Ability to manage technical assignments with increasing levels of ownership and independence.

Must be willing and available to work 2nd Shift on-site in Caguas.
