ABOUT THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all engineering operations including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and energy systems.

  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.

  • Supervising the upkeep of the property, ensuring guest comfort and safety are always prioritized.

  • Plan and oversee capital projects, renovations, and technical upgrades.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations.

  • Monitor and control departmental budgets, energy consumption, and operating costs.

  • Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering technical growth and accountability.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support seamless guest experiences.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance checks.

  • Partner with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions.

  • Implement innovative energy-saving and sustainable engineering solutions.

  • Introduce digital tools and systems to improve maintenance tracking and efficiency.

  • Explore and apply new technologies that enhance operational performance.

  • Mentor and develop your team to deliver consistent technical excellence and reliability.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred).

  • Minimum 7+ years of engineering/maintenance experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role within hospitality or related industries.

  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, renewable energy, and preventative maintenance programs.

  • Familiarity with local regulatory requirements for building and safety compliance.

  • Budgeting, project management, and cost control experience.

  • Hands-on leader with problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to sustainability.

  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
