Commercial electrical construction experience is required. EV charging infrastructure experience is strongly preferred.

This is not a remote position. Candidates must reside in or relocate to the Greater Los Angeles area and be available for regular office and project-site visits throughout Southern California, with occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple commercial electrical and EV charging projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
  • Conduct site walks and evaluate electrical, civil, utility, equipment-placement, and constructability conditions.
  • Review construction drawings, electrical single-line diagrams, specifications, equipment schedules, and technical scopes.
  • Coordinate utilities, permitting agencies, AHJs, engineers, contractors, inspectors, equipment suppliers, and commissioning teams.
  • Manage utility service applications, electrical upgrades, transformers, metering, inspections, and energization.
  • Prepare scopes of work and support contractor bidding, evaluation, selection, and onboarding.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, invoices, change orders, risks, and project documentation.
  • Conduct field inspections and resolve construction, design, utility, equipment, and commissioning issues.
  • Coordinate charger installation, testing, network activation, commissioning, and operational handoff.
  • Manage punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, inspection records, and closeout documentation.
  • Provide regular reporting on project costs, schedules, milestones, risks, and outstanding decisions.
Required Qualifications

  • Commercial electrical construction experience is mandatory.
  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, civil engineering, or a related technical field, with relevant construction experience; or
    • At least five years of directly related electrical-construction or infrastructure project-management experience.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, electrical single-line diagrams, specifications, and technical scopes.
  • Working knowledge of commercial electrical-distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, panels, breakers, feeders, conduit, grounding, and metering.
  • Experience coordinating utilities, permitting agencies, AHJs, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and equipment suppliers.
  • Experience managing projects through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Strong field problem-solving, organizational, communication, and project-management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles area or relocate before starting.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering Level 2 or DC fast-charging projects.
  • Experience with utility service upgrades and electrical energization.

  • PMP, CCM, EIT, PE, OSHA 30, EVITP, or another relevant certification.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar project-management tools.
Role Clarification
This role reviews electrical designs for scope, coordination, constructability, and field execution. It does not stamp engineering drawings unless the candidate is appropriately licensed and that responsibility is separately assigned
