Job Summary

As an Equipment Reliability and Process Engineer, you will lead equipment reliability efforts for the Fabrication department at the West Caldwell, NJ facility. This includes improving preventive maintenance strategies, implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems, and driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) measurement. You will partner closely with production leadership to integrate TPM, OEE, and reliability methodologies into daily management—advancing operational excellence and continuous improvement.

This is a full time, onsite role located in West Caldwell, NJ

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead equipment reliability improvement initiatives and long‑term strategic projects.
  • Enhance and optimize preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Implement TPM methodologies across the Fabrication department.
  • Establish and monitor OEE metrics and performance KPIs.
  • Troubleshoot and support equipment repair activities as needed.
  • Create, revise, and maintain equipment‑related procedures and documentation.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams on change control and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead Lean initiatives and reliability‑focused problem‑solving activities.
  • Conduct investigations of equipment failures and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Actively participate in departmental and cross‑functional meetings.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills and solid mathematical/analytical ability.
  • Ability to wear required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, latex gloves, and Tyvek suit.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TPM, OEE, and equipment reliability programs.
  • Prior hands‑on exposure in a regulated manufacturing environment.
