As a Residential Manager for the Residential Center for Healing & Resilience, you can proudly tell your family and friends that you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth as a part of the management team overseeing the program. Every member of the IYR works to contribute to the Programs and Services in their own way to make them accessible to all youth who need those services in Idaho.


Must Haves:

  • Be 25 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent and three years of full time experience in a children’s residential care facility OR an Associate’s degree and two years full time experience in a children’s residential facility OR a Bachelor’s degree and one year full time experience in a children’s residential treatment facility.
  • A valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
  • Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, behavioral management techniques, and trauma-informed care approaches.
  • Background in the treatment of adolescents

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a residential facility in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and licensing requirements governing residential treatment facilities

Our Residential Managers:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise residential staff members, including direct care staff
  • Establishes a schedule that ensures the best operation of the program
  • Works to assure that personnel know and understand the service plans of each individual child in their program
  • Supports the Program Manager, program and clinical staff by covering on-call duties as assigned

This position will work Tuesday - Saturday from 12pm - 8pm


As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.
