What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Service Technician who is eager to learn and grow within our service team. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a foundational understanding of industrial equipment, and a willingness to travel to support our customers. You enjoy hands-on work, solving mechanical problems, and taking pride in delivering high-quality service while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
This role is ideal for someone who works well with others, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and is comfortable working in both shop and customer-site environments with guidance and support as needed. This position requires regular travel.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist with the repair, installation, and maintenance of machinery at customer sites and company facilities
- Travel regularly to support emergency repair work, scheduled preventive maintenance, and final equipment installations
- Work safely at all times while complying with company, plant, and state safety regulations
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs involving mechanical, steam, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Set up, operate, and assist with a variety of welding machines and welding applications
- Read, interpret, and apply blueprints, symbols, and specifications accurately
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, follow maintenance schedules, and complete clear and concise documentation
- Maintain a strong customer service focus, including professional verbal and written communication with customers and internal teams
- Handle stressful situations professionally while meeting deadlines and service commitments
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, welds, and materials, including proper cleanup of metals and equipment
Desired Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school, trade school, or vocational training preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in a mechanical, industrial service, maintenance, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, steam, and electrical components
- Familiarity with industrial food processing equipment or food processing equipment is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and solve problems
- Basic welding experience, including knowledge of different welding applications and machines
- Ability to work with a variety of metals, including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, Alloy 20, and hardened carbon steels
- Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and introductory geometry
- Willingness and ability to travel consistently, including on short notice
