Go Maverick Group has a client with an immediate need for a Business Development Manager. This person is is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and driving revenue growth for our client's electrical connectivity and power solutions. This role focuses on developing strategic relationships with distributors, OEMs, and key industrial customers while promoting our client’s products, custom cable assemblies, and value-added capabilities. This is a remote position, but will require travel to the Franksville, WI headquarters and throughout the designated western territory.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets including electrical distribution, industrial, construction, transportation, and utility.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow revenue and market share.
  • Prospect and qualify new customers, distributors, and OEM accounts.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through closing and implementation.

Customer & Distributor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners and key accounts.
  • Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with distributors to identify growth opportunities and new applications.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers regarding product selection and solutions.

Market & Opportunity Development

  • Identify emerging market trends and customer needs.
  • Promote our client’s custom cable assembly capabilities and engineering support.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering to develop solutions for customer applications.
  • Identify opportunities for new products or market expansion.

Sales Support & Collaboration

  • Partner with inside sales, operations, and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Assist with pricing strategies, quotes, and proposals.
  • Support new product launches and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide feedback from the field to improve product offerings and customer experience.

Performance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and sales activity reporting in CRM.
  • Track key sales metrics and business development progress.
  • Participate in sales meetings, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in manufacturing, electrical distribution, or industrial markets.
  • Experience working with distributors and OEM customers preferred.
