Job Description:

2026–2027 School Year | Full Time | $25-28/hour |Caledonia, MI

About the Role: Provide instructional assistance to students in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to help students improve communication skills and access their education. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with preparing instructional materials and activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with special needs or academic challenges
  • Supervise students during classroom activities and ensure a safe learning environment
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and provide feedback
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or college coursework preferred)
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Work Environment/Physical Demands 

  • Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and/or fumes 
  • Frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting up to 50 points.
