Job Summary and Responsibilities

St. John’s Hospital Camarillo is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nutrition Assistant I to join our Dietary team. This role is essential in providing high-quality nutritional care to our residents and patients.

  • Assist with meal preparation, including portioning, plating, and serving food.
  • Follow established recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with food inventory and ordering.
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and other dietary staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with special dietary needs, including allergies, intolerances, and therapeutic diets.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
