Job Description

GlobalĀ BioLife, a division of Takeda Pharmaceuticals, specializes in collecting high-quality human plasma to develop and manufacture over 20 life-savingĀ productsĀ for rare and chronic conditions. With aĀ globalĀ network of donation centers across the U.S. and Europe,Ā BioLifeĀ prioritizes safety, quality, and community contributions while aligning with Takeda’s mission to address unmet medical needs. TheĀ FP&A team inĀ BioLifeĀ FinanceĀ supports financial planning and analysisĀ activitiesĀ forĀ BioLife’sĀ globalĀ operations, playing a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Ā Ā

The FP&A InternĀ in GlobalĀ BioLifeĀ willĀ assistĀ in financial reporting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration,Ā providingĀ essential insights that drive strategic decision-making within the organization.Ā

How You Will Contribute:Ā 

Duties will include the following, under the manager's supervisionĀ 

  • Financial Reporting:Ā AssistĀ in preparing monthly financial reports and analyses forĀ BioLife’sĀ management.Ā 

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting process and quarterly financial forecasts through data collection and analysis.Ā 

  • Data Analysis: Conduct variance analysis toĀ identifyĀ trends andĀ provideĀ actionable insights for financial performance.Ā 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to gather financial information and ensure consistency in financial data.Ā 

  • Ad-hoc Projects:Ā ParticipateĀ in special finance-related projects andĀ assistĀ in financial modeling andĀ analysis.Ā 

  • Presentation Support: Prepare materials for meetings with leadership and stakeholders, summarizing key financial data.Ā 

  • Process Improvements:Ā IdentifyĀ opportunities for enhancing financial processes and reporting methods.Ā

Interns will learn:Ā 

  • Gain hands-on experience inĀ FP&AĀ at both global and regional levels, including mid/long-term planning, annual budgeting, and the monthly close processĀ 

  • LearnĀ the bestĀ practices for financial modeling and data automation, enhancing analytical efficiency and accuracyĀ 

  • Develop finance business partnering skills by collaborating with functional leaders across the globe, fostering professional relationships and strategic discussionsĀ 

  • AcquireĀ skills in stakeholder management and contribute to the development of business strategies, enhancing understanding of organizational dynamicsĀ 

  • Expand analytical capabilities and presentation skills, enabling effective communication of financial insights and supporting decision-making processesĀ

Job Requirements:Ā 

  • Educational Background: Must be pursuing aĀ Bachelor’sĀ degree (junior or senior) or a Master’s/PhD in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Ā 

  • Financial Knowledge: Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles, withĀ proficiencyĀ in financial modeling and Microsoft ExcelĀ 

  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to interpret and analyze financial dataĀ 

  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting findingsĀ 

  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment, with strong teamwork, organization, and time management skillsĀ 

Internship Eligibility

  • MustĀ be authorized toĀ work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026Ā or later 

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeksĀ depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14thĀ or June 15th- August 21st)

  • The intern must be able to commit to one of theseĀ time frames

  • Able to work full timeĀ 40 hoursĀ a week during internship dates  

  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.Ā The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.Ā
